Rashid Uzzaman is a Consultant Solicitor with Ellis Hass & Co Solicitors. Along with being a qualified solicitor, Rashid brings the highest level of accreditation offered by the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS).
Rashid has been advising on immigration issues since 2007, initially while combining his study in Law, with the role of a volunteer legal advisor for the East Staffordshire Citizens Advice Bureau. Rashid is now recognised as an expert in both corporate and personal immigration.
Rashid specialises in all aspects of corporate and personal immigration matters, including Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), Tier 2, Tier 4 (Students), Tier 5 of the Points Based System and Sponsor Licence Applications. He also specialises in Human Rights Applications, family route applications and Complex Appeals.
Additionally, his fluency in several key languages and ability to problem solve allow him to regularly exceed client expectation. He is able to converse fluently in English, Bengali, Hindi, Sylheti and Urdu. Rashid has obtained specialist immigration qualifications through the Law Society IAAS, achieving Senior Caseworker Status in June 2013 and Supervisor Status in June 2015.
Away from the office, Rashid is passionate about technology and video game development, and has designed and developed various mobile phone applications and websites for non-profit purposes. Rashid is also a keen video game blogger and has written articles charting developments at the E3 Videogame Convention in Los Angeles. Technology aside, Rashid enjoys taking walks and attending the local gymnasium.
